Bankston Wedding

So I know it has been awhile since we have posted anything on our blog and it is my resolution this year to really keep up on it. So since we just shot our first wedding of the year on Valentine's day. I decided to start it out this way. So introducing the Bankston's! This was a fun wedding that was relaxed and easy going. These two love each other SO much! This made this wedding particularly easy to shoot and alot of fun. They were not afraid to try any picture and were very easy going. It was a pleasure to take part in their wedding and I know that they are going to have a long happy life together. I will post more pictures of their wedding soon.

Toddler Dane

So the Bodily's have always been lifelong friends of ours and I have had the pleasure of doing their pictures numerous times. This time around was of their little one Dane. The last time I took pictures of him, he was just a newborn. Now he is a Toddler and these are a few of the pictures from his shoot.

I was called on day from a member of the Junge family and off we went to the beach. I don't think I ever stopped smiling or laughing with this wedding. Everyone knew how to have a great time and there was alot of family unity. It almost made it hard to leave at the end of the night. So yesterday I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Bonnie Louwerens whom you might recognize because I had the pleasure of shooting her Wedding this last March. Well as her and I talked one day she told me of a project that she has been working on for awhile. Her book. We then started talkiing about how she was interested in getting pictures done for her headshot at the back of the book and for her website. So that is when we decided to set a date and head out to get them done. Since her book deals with post Apocalypse, we wanted something run done. I thought why not take it to the next level of not only someplace run down but down right creepy. Though there is much confusion to whether it was an insane asylum, orphanage, or juvinille detention center, it's all creepy! We had so much fun and everytime birds would randomly fly all at once from the silent building she would jump a little, but she kept it pretty together. Well her are a few pictures from the shoot and stay tuned when I mess around with them a little more to make them creepier Bwhahaha!!!

Bentley & Michelle

Bentley is a pretty well known musician here on the central coast. Well one day he contacted me and asked if I would be able to shoot one of his concerts. It went so well and this is where I met Michelle, his soon-to-be fiancee' A couple days ago I was again contacted by Bentley, this time to shoot engagement pictures. This two are so in love and love to have fun! It made this shoot so easy to do and so much fun. Bentley pulled out his guitar to sing to his love, and even got a chance to read to her. You can just feel the humor they use for each other and the eternal ove they share for each other. Check em' out!

The Herrera Wedding

So the last two Weddings that I have shot have been of good friends whom I recently was employed with and they both are Awesome people! This was the second of two people named Samantha and Felix. These were two of the funnest people to shoot because they had the attitude of "let's do it!" So we came up with some really creative shots. I got to do some things that I have always wanted to try but never had the chance to yet. Check them out and let me know what you think. The Louwerens Wedding

What a classy wedding! I had the pleasure of joining Bonnie and Jan for their Wedding shot this last Saturday. This was our first Wedding of the year and it was SO much fun. Meet Shannon. The Bride who had her special day and it was everything she hoped it would be. The only thing is that she spent so much time conversing with her guests that she never got any wedding cake. She couldn't have that... Luckily there was a bakery right next to her reception called "Gina's Piece of Cake" and there was no one there. So she decided to snaek into the bakery and make her own cake. The only thing is that it didn't quite turn out the way she had hoped for...

The Pierce Family Valentine's day shoot

I have heard many people talk about how much they hate Valentine's day and alot who absolutly LOVE Valentine's day! So one day I was sitting and thinking, "why do so many people dislike it." Besides maybe not having someone to share it with, the number 1 reason i have been given is that because loved ones don't know what to give. So I came up with the idea of using what I love to do as a special gift one can give to their loved one, a Valentine's day shoot! Here is the Pierce family. Almost 1000 visits?!?

WOW! So I was just taking a look at some of our stats from this blog and since we started out blog on the 13th of last month we have already almost had a 1000 visits! Thank you to everyone that has supported us! We are 3 days away from one month and just need 31 more visits! We have had SO much fun these past years and have had the pleasure of creating so many new friends. We have so many new things coming up this next year and are in the running to hopefully getting a spread in "New Times" if we can get enough support. WOW! What a year! We never expected to have the kind of year that we had and it brings us such great joy to say "Thank You!" This year alone in 3 months we accomplished 8 weddings and we had a blast at all of them! We will be ending our last wedding of the year today at the Madonna Inn and what a place to end the year! We look forward to this next year and seeing what it will bring us. We have already started booking for this next year and we are very excited because we have alot of new equipment coming in that is going to magnify the clarity and precision of our work. So as many know here in California our version of Christmas isn't a "White" one, more like a rainy one. So this year instead of trying to create christmas pictures where snow exists, why not just take them in the sand? This lovely family contacted me a few weeks ago wanting to do christmas pictures at the beach. That is when I came up wth the idea to just bring Christmas to the beach. So here we have part 2 of our 50's Housewife "Trash the Dress" only this time out housewife has discovered something that has made her very unhappy and has caused a broken heart. Alright here they are!!! This was one heck of a shoot and by far the coolest thing I have done to date. When we originally came up with this series we did alot of brainstorming of styles and locations. This one originally was not on the list until Brittney came over and tried on the dress. Sharla instantly saw a 50's Housewife in her. Later on I came up stairs to see the dress and without anyone saying anything, thought the same exact thing! So that is how this idea was born and Sharla took control and came up with all the ideas. There is a second part to this shoot and those pictures will soon be revealed! Pre-Trash the Dress

So as some of you know, we have been doing a little Project called "Trash the Dress SLO Style" and this was our 3rd session. We had such a blast with this one and Brittney Blaha our Wedding Model did an absolutly spectactular job and she played the part so well. I am pretty sure that this is the funnest thing we have done to date! If you have time stop by and check out her Facebook, she has many more pictures from her Modeling career.. Have you ever worried when baking the Cherry Pie that you might accidently trip and get it all over your clothes? Now what if you were wearing a wedding dress?? That is exactly what we did! I guess you can say we like to make people cringe :) Take a look at some of the Pre-shots before we trashed it. Oh and by the way, the Cherry pie was the least of its problems. Lets just say in the end the dress was in about 30 pieces :) Keep on the look out.Very shortly I will be posting quite a few pics of the shoot right here on this blog!

So I woke up on Sunday morning and I got a message from this lovely family asking if I might be available to do a family shoot for them. I told her that that wouldnt be a problem at all and pulled my calendar. As I looked through the days I saw that I had a couple spots open and asked her if she had a date in mind. To her response was, "Today." It definatly caught me off guard but I was happy to oblige. We decided to hit up Sycamore Mineral Springs where they have bright green grass all year long and lots of trees. We had alot of fun with the shoot and their little ones where very photogenic. So some of you already know but this Friday we will be continuing our "Trash the Dress" sessions. The one we have coming up is going to be so much fun because we get to act out a whole scene and in the end the photos will tell a story. This one is about a housewife taking care of the house in her wedding dress. Why you ask? You'll have to check them out soon. A little clue, she's not very happy about something and finds trashing her dress to be quite the revenge LOL. Brittney Blaha will be playing the part. We are very excited!
